Ikea Navi Mumbai

Ikea a Swedish furniture store, founded by Ingvar Kamprad, selling ready-to-assemble furniture. The store is huge. They have many furniture options, compatiable for modern homes. My friends and I visited Ikea for the first time. We reached there at noon, & strolled around for nealry two hours on the 2nd floor, day dreaming about how we would design our future homes.

From classy to cozy living room design options, personalize your home by choosing from Ikea’s various collections of fashionable furniture. Create the bedroom you want without breaking your budget. Ikea’s stylish bedroom furniture and inspiring ideas are just what you need.

At around 2 pm, we had lunch. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala & Chicken Wrap, and received complementary Soup. We also had Chicken Nuggets, Cheesecake, Gulab Jamun, & Rasgulla. The food was delicious. On my next visit, I would love to try the traditional Swedish dish Chicken Meatballs, and for dessert Chocolate Cake & Brownie.

Did you know? You can even organize your birthday parties and corporate events in the Ikea Restaurant.

Then for around an hour, we took a tour of the first floor. It houses kitchen items & home decor like utensils, decorative items, aesthetic lights, fancy mirrors, plants (faux & real), and the furniture warehouse. The billing area and cafe is located towards the exit of the first floor. It takes around 3 to 4 hours including lunch, to window shop at Ikea.

I was surpripsed to see that Ikea also sold plants. Before reaching the garden section, I saw many beautiful faux flowers and plants, and then came across the real ones. It looks like a good selection of succulents for garden beginners and those who want decorative greens in their apartment homes.

If you travel by train, you will see Ikea as you are nearing the Turbhe (Navi Mumbai) railway station, it’s a two minute walking distance away from station. You can also take a share auto for ₹10 a seat or direct auto for ₹30. Recently they also started free bus services from Thane to Turbhe and vice-versa, check out their website for more details.

All in all, we had an amazing time in Ikea. It is a must shop place if you are into modern and practical furniture. Beautifully design, the furniture is meant to be assembled by the buyer themselves. Also don’t miss the delicious canteen food.
