Thane’s Latest Green Creation NaMo Grand Central Park

Hello Lovely Reader!

Last year I had visited Thane’s latest green creation – NaMo Grand Central Park. Situated in Kolshet, amidst the Kalpatru Parkcity, this massive public park is inspired by the likes of many gardens around the world, mainly New York City’s Central Park.

The Thane park is divided into 4 zones :

  1. Play Zone
  2. Sports Arena
  3. Theme Gardens
  4. Lake Side

The Play Zone is completely for kids. The area is designed and built to keep your little ones active & happy. Some of the fun sections include jungle gyms, zip lines and splash pad (which is a fan favourite).

🎾 The Sports Arena has a tennis court, a basketball court and a skating park, among other sport courts. However, you have to book these spots in advance.

Then in the next zone we not only have 6 theme gardens but also floral trails, a garden view deck, a crescent wall & a multi-purpose wall.

🗺️ You can go on a mini-world tour right here in the heart of Thane, by visiting the different Theme Gardens – Mughal, Chinese, Japanese & Moroccan in NaMo Grand Central park.

The last zone is the beautiful Lake Side which includes the X-bridge, the central lake, lake view deck & amphitheatre among others. I had spotted a restuarant & cafe under construction (not sure when they will be open to public).

🚰 There are several water fountains & plenty of washrooms around. You can’t take in single use water bottles or outside food.

Lake #15 Central Lake

I’m pretty sure this is an artificial lake, but nevertheless I’m considering it in my mission.

If you are in Thane, this park is a must-visit. Its beautiful & filled with green surrounding, providing you with a definite break from the city’s hustle & bustle.

Peace out, brussels sprout! 🌱
