The Sanskruti Arts Festival is an annual 4-day festival celebrating the culture and heritage of the city and the country. Also commonly known as the Upvan Arts Fest, this year the festival was held from 26th to 29th January.
I visited the fest with my Mum, we strolled on the road adjacent to lake, where all the stalls were organized. Many handicrafts and small business owners had set up their stalls. The fest is the best time to discover new artists and support local artisans. Next, we attended my friend Kat’s Bharatanatyam dance performance. I always wanted to show my support and attend her live performance and this time I was finally got the chance to.

Just outside the Mudra stage was a book stall that sold by the kilo, so I bought three novels, which cost me ₹230. Then my Mum and I had Dahi Puri, Veg Manchurian and Noodles, which were pricey than usual 🙄🤷♀️
City art festivals give you an opportunity to discover and explore new artists, traditional handicrafts, arts, music, dance and food, which is why you must visit them whenever in town. It also allows people to come across various different cultures and provide you with a sense of community. Stay tuned for next year to attend the arts fest along with many other local fairs.

Abby Recommends : to visit local and cultural art festivals, which will bring you closer to your community and give you the chance to come across new experiences.
