Madarde Lake

Lake #8 of The City of Lakes Project

Madarde Talav is a small lake situated along Kolbad Road, near Castle Mill junction. The area of this lake is about 1.0 ha. There is a Hindu temple near the lake called Jagmata mandir. The lake is 3.5 kms away from Thane railway station.

Madarde lake isn’t a tourist spot. It is a small lake, if you live in Kolbad you might have passed by it. Nevertheless it is a waterbody which should be cleaned and maintained. There was some garbage around the corners of the lake, but the center was clean. The lake is much cleaner then it used to be.

Location : Kolbad Road, Uthalsar, Thane

Project Update :

We are halfway done with 2022 and I have been to 8 of 33 lakes in Thane. Hope to visit a few more in the second half of the year.
