Ambe Ghosale Lake

Lake #1 of The City of Lakes Project

Ambe Ghosale Lake is one of the many 30 plus lakes of Thane, a city in Maharashtra, India. It’s a good spot for residents to relax, exercise, and for kids to have fun. I saw some ducks and there were a lot of fishes in the lake too.

There are a lot of fun rides for kids, like a bouncing castle & a toy train. There are boat rides for people of all agese to enjoy. There are paddle boats for two (some shaped as a swan), paddle boats for four, and one motor boat for groups.

Years back there was a floating hotel in the middle of the lake named Abhiruchi. The hotel was burned in an accident. But some locals still refer to it as Abhiruchi talav.

Location : Ambe Ghosale Lake, Prabhakar Hegde Road, Opposite Summer Castle, Bapuji Nagar, Thane West, Maharashtra 400601
