My dream is to travel the whole world but before doing that, and after I explore my oen city, I wish to explore my own counrty India. Each and every one of its 28 States & 8 Union Territories.

There are so many famous and unique places to visit. But there are some special destinations that are a must visit on my wishlist :

The Symbol of Love : Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal in Agra, is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This masterpiece is made of beautiful ivory white marble. The architecture itself is so mesmerizing. Add onto it the story to its making. It makes Taj Mahal a fascinating mark of time, love, and history.

Jammu & Kashmir

The beautiful snow-topped mountains and majestic lakes with boats rides to admire the views. Jammu-Kashmir is one of the beat places to experience snowy Indian Winters.

Kolkata

The famous Kolkata Trams. It is the oldest existing tram network operating in India, and oldest operating tramway in Asia. Started in 1902, it is the second oldest electric tramway in India. Besides that, there are so many various places to visit like the beautiful museums and parks.

Varanasi

It is also called as Kashi or Banaras. It is one of the world’s oldest continually inhabited cities. The city is known worldwide for its many ghats, & steps leading down the steep river bank to the water, where pilgrims perform rituals.

Taj Mahal, Agra

The Pink City : Jaipur

Jaipur is known as the Pink City, due to the dominant colour scheme of its buildings. It is also known as the Paris of India, and Dr. C.V. Raman called it the Island of Glory. There are many historical forts & magnificent palaces which are a must visit. You get a glimpse of the past of India’s royalty.

Rann of Kutch

The Great Rann of Kutch (or Rann of Kutch seasonal salt marsh) is a salt marsh in the Thar Desert in the Kutch District of Gujarat, India. The Government of Gujarat hosts an annual 3-month long Rann Utsav festival from December to February every year, near Dhordo village in this 500 km² pristine white salt desert landscapes during winter where tourists can see the various sights of the Rann. Rann Utsav can be visited by anyone but Tent City with 400 tents allows entry only to those who are staying there.

The Seven Sisters (& One Brother) of the Northeast

We don’t talk much about the Northeast – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim. The states have a lot to offer, from having the cleanest village in Asia to India’s oldest oil refinery in Assam. The largest monastery in India also happens to be in Arunachal Pradesh known as the Tawang Monastery, the highest average rainfall on Earth happens to be in Mawsynram, Meghalaya.

Palace on Wheels

Not a place, but a mode of transport. Travel in and like royalty. People from far and wide, come to India to experience this luxury tourist train and travel to amazing Indian destinations. It was launched by the Indian Railways in association with Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation to promote tourism in Rajasthan. It is now known as Heritage Palace on Wheels. The train has a 7 nights & 8 days itinerary departs from New Delhi, and covers Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur and Chittaurgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur and Agra.
