It’s December & Christmas is near. If you are planning your winter holidays, here are some wonderful places to visit in India to get the christmas feels :

Goa

Known for its beautiful beaches & party life, Goa is one of the amazing places in India to spend your holidays at. Having Portuguese roots & some decent number of Christian population, Christmas is celebrated with majesty & splendor. Thousands of toursists come from all over the country & abroad to partake in the celebrations.

Mumbai

The western suburb of Bandra, known for its Catholic population, is a place to see in Mumbai during Christmas. Also the Hill Road is stunningly decorated with flowers and lighting. One can also spot decorated Christmas trees on the pavement of the Hill Road which the local families put up in spirit of the festival. The churches in the city are also beautifully lit up and decorated with people from all religious backgrounds seen enjoying with their friends and family.

Shillong

This north-eastern city of Meghalaya, with a predominant Christian popluation, makes it one of the best places in India to celebrate Christmas. Streets, homes, and churches are decorated with pretty lights and decorations, making it a picturesque holiday.

Pondicherry

Also known as ‘Little France’, it is an union territory at the Tamil Nadu coast. The Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception and Sacred Heart of Jesus is well known in this town. All the people gather to celebrate the midnight mass. Pondicherry has amazing beaches and famous for its french cuisines, makes your trip worthwhile.

Kerala

The churches whether big or small remain open throughout the night and thousands of people gather at churches across the state to sing at the midnight mass. Apart from visiting church there are many places and destinations to tour in Kerala like the beaches, backwaters, waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries, and many more.
