Be it traveling solo or with family, and friends. For stuides, work or leisure, all should aim for an eco-friendly travel experience.
It is our duty to protect our planet, and to do so one should be mindful of the impact of their actions. Do your research before traveling. Inculcate healthy & eco-friendly habits not only in your vacations but also in your daily life.

Here are some tips to have an eco-friendly travel experience :
Eco-friendly Tours :
The first step of every trip is to book a suitable tour. While doing so, choose tour companies that help you follow the best environmental practices throughout the trip and do not have a negative impact on the environment.
Eco-Hotels :
Pick eco-hotels that have sustainability initiatives like rainwater harvesting, solar power, energy-efficient lighting, low-flow toilets, etc.
Use Public Transport :
One of the main reasons why air quality is declining at an alarming rate, is the increased number of tourist vehicles. To contribute to limiting fuel consumption and carbon emissions, one must take public transport when possible. If it is possible to explore the destination on a bicycle or on foot, nothing would be better.

Reusable Water Bottles :
Always carry your own water bottle. You can always fill your bottle at your stay. Some cities have drinking water easily available at various stops for the public.
Reusuable food continers and cutlery :
Instead of buying snacks in plastic wrappings, prepare your own healthy treats. Store uneaten or half-eaten foods in reusable containers to consume later. This will prevent food waste.
If everyone carried their own cutlery, it would minimise waste by large numbers. Wooden (bamboo) disposable cutlery is available as a popular biodegradable alternative. Another option is edible cutlery, which decomposes in about a week if disposed.
Store Your Trash :
Carry a small bag/container, or designate a pocket compartment as your trash holder. If you don’t find dustbins around you, store your trash and try to recycle what you can.
Minimise Trash :
Minimise your trash from the start of trip, and you won’t have to carry it around. Find natural, eco-friendly, reusable, recyable or biodegradable products, which will help minimise trash and keep the environment clean.
