Work on your goal a little bit each day, no matter how small.
What are your favourite apps for staying organized / creating a budget / planning trips ?
Disclaimer : Below mentioned apps are my personal favourites, and are not sponsored. The apps I use are very common, easy to function & convenient.
A. Staying Organized & Travel Planning
Below are some tools which can be used for both staying organized on a daily basis + making travel itinerary.
1. Phone Memo
Every smartphone has a memo/notes app. You can note down your thoughts, make lists, save images to particular ideas, etc. I use Keep Notes by Google, which I can login from any device.
If you want to make simple lists &/or just note things down, but also want it on your fingertips, memo apps are the best.
2. Excel/Google Sheets
Every computer/internet user knows about Excel. But did you the app has many useful Templates, including To-do list, Annual Budgets, Calendar, & Travel Planner. You just have to fill in your information. You can even edit it as per your needs.
If you need/want a specific list, here’s when Excel/Google Sheets makes an entry. Also if you don’t know where to begin with organizing or planning, these templates work as good blueprint.
3. Google Calendar
You can mark events & set reminders on your regular mobile calendar too, but what I like about Google Calendars is that you have specific options like events, tasks, reminders and goals. You can even add people and share.
If you want things arranged date specific or oriented, Google Calendars are for you. You can even make your daily schedule.
4. Journals & Scrapbooks
If you are old school, you should definitely try Bullet journaling. You can design it according to your day and schedule. Make different pages like habit tracker, period tracker, monthly budgets, etc.
When you are traveling, make a scrapbook. Note down all your information regarding, flights, hotels, resturants, sight-seeing. Stick photos & souvenirs. Make it pretty. Not only will it help you organize, it will also be lovely memories to look back to.
5. Your Closet – Smart Fashion
This app helps to put together your outfits. Plan your outfits and save them to your in-app calendar. You can even categorise them by clothing types, seasons, colours, etc.
No need to dive-in your closet. Just one tap, and browse through outfits on your phone.
6. Bonus for Students : School Planner
This app has been very helpful. I set my time-table to get notifications 15 minutes before every class. Record your grades. Set reminders for homework and exams. It also has a calendar to record other events.
B. Budget
1 to 4 of part-A also apply to making budgets. Note your spendings on memo or calendar. Excel has budget templates, you can edit it to fit you. Make a bullet journal dedicated to manage your income and spendings, monthly and annually. But I use one particular app…
7. Money Planner
It helps you record your income & expenditure at your fingertips. It’s easy to use. There are specific categories to mark from + add your own. Also has a pie chart to display your monthly expenses.
