Kala Ghoda Arts Fest 2020

Kala Ghoda Arts Fest Entrance

This year the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival was held from 01st to 09th February. I had heard and read about the fest throughout school. This was my first visit to the Kala Ghoda Arts Fest.

We decided to go on a Monday. Thankfully my friends and I arrived at lunch time around 2pm, so we didn’t get the crowd.

They were many art installations & stalls. The art depicted social messages about the environment and social media. One art piece was a blue whale trapped in a fishing net.

Local businesses and establishments had stalls of paintings, jewellery, clothing, sarees, notebooks, crockery/dinnerware, etc.

The Kala Ghoda Arts Fest is not limited to these. Every year the fest conducts numerous workshops and programmes for people of all ages. The Arts Fest is usually all over Mumbai.

There were also youth from different colleges conducting workshops. Like one college was organizing a social media contest and the lucky winner would win a chance to learn French.

Overall Kala Ghoda was an amazing experience and I would love to go there again. If you ever plan a trip to Mumbai, you should definitely consider visting this Arts Festival.

Bon Voyage! Abby
